Project Description
This chair is designed for long-term use. The cushion can be used on both sides. According to the season, leather is used in winter and copper is used in summer. So it can be used continuously. And leather and metal will gradually change color because of contact with skin. The traces of time are gradually forming.
Usage Situation
The color and shape of the cushion will change due to the different usage habits of each person. Rubbing with the user's body, leather and copper will become brighter and smoother.
How to Use
The back, handrail and seat cushion have mortise and tenon that can be combined. They can be turned over according to the season. Leather and copper have been used for years to produce shape changes.
Idea Sketch
Many sketches were developed at the beginning. The final decision is the wooden chair with leather and copper. There are many interesting ideas in the elimination plan, which will be realized in the future.
Design Process
From 1:5 scale to 1:1 scale, making model and discussion. Adjust the details many times. Such as chair foot thickness, armrest angle, seat height, etc.
Construction Drawings
Woodwork is outsourced. Prepare detailed construction drawings for manufacturer.
Finished Product
The final product is shown in the figure. In line with the expected results. It is expected to show the results of FORM FOLLOW BODY after long-term use.
